The Crystal Mysteries is a video series about two kids, Scarlett and David (also known as The Main Duo), who are determined to unravel the mystery of the Crystal Legend. Although the date says July 2nd, 2013, there is no exact date. It is definite that it was filmed in very late June / very early July, but the exact day is unknown. July 2nd is assumed to be the day that it was started.
The design to the right was created by Nate W.
On the website, Nate explains how this show was created.
“ | Every year, for the fourth of July, all of our relatives head up to a vacation home that our grandfather and grandmother have owned for quite a while.
One day, my cousin, Tessa, and I, were bored and couldn't think of anything to do. I was pretty obsessed with becoming an actor at that point, and we were watching TV, so it just popped into my head that we should make a show. Tessa got excited at the idea and suggested we create a mystery show. We agreed on making it a mystery, but we needed a name for it. As Tessa was thinking, she looked at the table to her side, and saw the crystal ball set in the center (our grandmother loved antiques). She immediately knew that the crystal ball would be great to use in our show. She pointed it out to me, and after narrowing down a few ideas for a title, we got to what you know now - The Crystal Mysteries. We starting filming that afternoon. We had my dad film us with an old iPad on a cheap app - hence the terrible quality. When we finally finished the first scene, it was almost dark, so we stopped for the day. We continued to film each day of the week. Each night, we would gather everyone on the floor, and hold a viewing of the episode we made that day. We loved the experience so much that we decided to do it next year. And the next. And so on.. You get the idea. We really enjoy making these episodes and planning out the storyline - they may not be the best, but we'll never forget the time we spent filming The Crystal Mysteries. |

There is no estimated ending date. Although we hope to reach at least season 8, Nate will be 16 at that point, and Tessa will be 14. It is very likely that we'll have a lot of other things we're interested by then, but it's still possible one of those things is the Crystal Mysteries. Even if we quit now, 4 seasons (and a special!) is a big feat.
